How does the choice or holding process work?
A $500 deposit will hold your puppy until they are 7-8 weeks old and they are strong and eager to travel. The deposit holds your "choice position" so that you can watch development for 3-4 weeks. At this time, you can choose your puppy and we will mark and hold him as yours until he's ready to travel to your home.
Is transportation available throughout the United States?
Nationwide shipping is available for those living long distances from South Dakota. We are very experienced with canine shipping and the puppy's welfare and safety is a top priority with us. We deal with several airlines to assure that every puppy arrives in the fastest manner on the best flight possible. We guarantee that your new companion will arrive safely.
What is the difference between full and limited registration?
The definition of limited registration from AKC is as follows: Limited Registration means that the dog is registered but litters produced by that dog are ineligible for registration. In addition, a limited dog cannot compete in conformation shows. It is eligible, however, to be entered in any other licensed or member event, including Obedience, Tracking, Field Trials, Hunting Tests, Herding, Lure Coursing, Agility, Rally, and Earthdog.
A full registration has no limitations. A full registration allows you to breed and register puppies as long as the mate is an AKC registered dog of the same breed, along with all showing privileges.
Why are there some limited and some full registrations?
The main reason we limit the number of full registrations on some of our litters is to maintain the integrity of the Golden Retriever breed. It's our philosophy to take very few, and the very best of the litter to carry on the genetic line of the breed. In our well bred litters, the difference between a breeding quality puppy and a pet quality puppy is very minimal.
What is the price for limited registration?
There are no prices set for our fall 2008 litters at this time.
What is the price for full registration?
There are no prices set for our fall 2008 litters at this time.
What is the price for shipping and what does it include?
The price for shipping is $300.00 for this litter when shipped in the lower continental US. It includes flying your puppy to most local airports; we most commonly use Continental airlines, as they have a climate controlled area that they use for animals, and are very diligent about keeping them happy and healthy on their trip. The shipping cost also includes a heavy duty plastic kennel with wire doors and ventilation on all four sides. We will send along the food he or she is accustomed to which will help the transition to their new food. Also included is a little blanket to keep the smells familiar as they travel.
How much is the deposit to hold a puppy?

When is full payment due?
We ask for payment 14 days ahead of travel time for a personal check, or 10 days ahead for Paypal.

Are there contracts associated with buying a puppy?
Contracts vary from breeder to breeder. Make sure you fully understand what the seller expects from you, now and in the future. This is an important point. ~ Our contract is short and forthright, the registration papers are sent to you immediately, there are no stipulations regarding naming your dog, there are no future expectations regarding what you can or cannot do with your dog, (except for the protection of the dog itself.)
